The present company was registered during the start of the year 2002; however, the work done now was done for the past 10 years under the name of "Hinmaiy", which is a small retail shop in the island capital of Male'. When the company was officially registered under the government law, and in order to make us known to the foreign industry, the title of the company was changed from "Hinmaiy" to "Hinmaiy Investments", and started work as a Private Limited Company.

HOW WE SEE OURSELVES IN THE FUTURE

We plan to open regional offices in “Addu and Haa-Alif” atoll. This however is when a regional port is built in the region. Our expectation is that, the government will do these regional ports by end of 2003. 

  Also at the end of the year 2002 we expect to be capable of unloading 3-4 ships at a time. Increasing our labour capacity will do this

We are best known for the quality of the work we do and our efficiency in all the work that we carry out. We are also known for amongst people in our field for our accountability to finish all our jobs on the set time.

Due to this, we have already attracted a few regular customers. These include

ASSETS / CAPITAL OWNED

Our most precious assets are our hard-working and ever so loyal staff. In addition to this, our capital also includes, five dhoni’s, “Shidha”, “Nadheema”, “Feneyba”, “Aamira” and one barge that is capable of carrying 100 metric tonnes. Shidha has a length of 23.3 metres and is capable of carrying 70 tonnes; whereas Aamira is capable of carrying a weight of 65 tonnes and is 22.2 metres in length, Nadheema is 18 metres in length, Feneyba in 13 metres in length. Meenaz engineering/ repairing workshop is also owned by us. These dhoni’s are used mainly for transportation of building materials and other bulky goods to regions of Maldives. Company’s’ assets are now over 20 million ruffiya.

We also own a fleet of lorries mainly used to transport goods from various locations in Male’, (mainly Male’ Customs), We also have a crane at “Thilafushi”, (a garbage disposal island, also used for warehousing purposes), in order to unload heavy goods from dhonis. In addition, we also own a safari yatch, “Fathima”, of which 90% of building is completed. It is expected that Fathima will be completed during mid July of the year 2002. However, in order to run Fathima, we plan to open a new company. Our staff at the moment includes over 40 experienced labourers and 7 administration staffs, all with appropriate qualifications and experience matching to their posts
